I first found out about stock image photo web sites like i-stock photo or corbis many years ago. However, I must admit that without ever even giving it the old college try, I got discouraged about posting my photos only because the royalty payout is so little. I understand that even if you’re only getting paid a few cents per download, the money could add up over time and as you increase your image gallery.

  2. Sandra says:

I was traveling over the road in a semi with my husband for 6 months and during that time I wanted to get a bunch of pictures from all over the place that I could sell on the internet like those motivational pictures you see all over the place, but I didn’t know how to do this nor did my camera work like I thought it would. I wish I’d had this information then.

The online photo agency whose regulations I liked most (though I have not exactly researched every agency in cyberspace) was Shutterstock. They have a diverse system, but still, the royalty commissions are only pennies on the dollar. And yea, it can probably add up over time, but it is a residual income at best. If you are needing to pay the bills and looking for work, this is not a lucrative enough income opportunity for you.

I have always wanted to get a bunch of pictures from all over the place that I could sell on the internet like those motivational pictures you see all over the place, but I didn’t know how to do this nor did my camera work like I thought it would. I have always been told I have a unique way of seeing things and I think that would help, I just need a new camera.
